MJ's Pythons, founded by Marv and Jay, is a dynamic duo with over 30 years of collective experience in exotic animal keeping and 15 years of dedicated breeding. Marv, initially immersed in the aquatic hobby, transitioned from freshwater fish to reptiles, starting with a leopard gecko and expanding to various species like Garter snakes and ball pythons. Jay, with a history of keeping kingsnakes, ventured into ball pythons, retics, boas, monitor lizards, and the Tegu.
Seven years ago, Marv and Jay joined forces and collections to establish MJ's Pythons, now a home to over 300 individuals encompassing an impressive variety of species. From Ball Pythons and Burmese Pythons to Meerkats, dart frogs, tree frogs, geckos, chameleons, tegus, peach-throat monitors, and more, MJ's Pythons is a thriving haven for diverse wildlife.
The mission of MJ's Pythons extends beyond collecting animals; the focus is on creating naturalistic environments for each resident. With a dedication to caring for and enjoying every species, Marv and Jay are passionate about sharing their love for these incredible animals. Marv, a secondary school teacher, further extends this passion by founding the Exotic Animal Society, providing students aged 11-18 with weekly opportunities to learn and care for a diverse array of animals residing full-time in the classroom. MJ's Pythons is not just a collection; it's a commitment to the welfare of its inhabitants and a journey of sharing the wonders of exotic animals with the world.
